January 2011–Claimremedi prepared its system to begin Internal testing of 5010 standards for electronic claims. External Based version testing began with Trading Partners/Payers.
April 2011–Claimremedi began the External end to end testing with Trading Partners in Errata version. Although there were recommendations to begin testing starting January 2011, many Testing Partners placed testing on hold for Errata version until April 29, 2011. This phase of testing and processes will continue throughout 2011 to ensure compliance by January 1, 2012.
June 2011–5010 testing environment available for Customers.
January 1, 2012–ClaimRemedi will be in 5010 compliance with our trading partners and payers. Continued acceptance of all current formats including 4010A1, NSF and Print Image formats as well as the new ANSI 5010 standards for incoming claims, inquiries, outgoing payer files, and remittances. Files will be sent in the supported format specified by our trading partners and payers.
October 1, 2013–The ICD-10 code set replaces the ICD-9 code set, following 5010 implementation.
Note on ICD-10-CM–The implementation of ANSI 5010 is a prerequisite for implementing the new ICD-10 codes. While the new claim format accommodates the ICD-10 codes, ICD-10 codes will not be accepted as part of the 5010 project.
